So two weeks ago I went back to San Luis Obispo. It has changed a lot since I graduated. The Target is open, new downtown restaurants and shops have popped up. On campus, there are new buildings being constructed. I think the gym opened back up the weekend I was there as well. I’ve only seen pictures, but it looks pretty awesome. Maybe next time I go back, I’ll try to work out there. It was nice being back there. If you haven’t been back to your school in awhile, I recommend going to visit. Brings back old memories.
Asphalt and Rocks - My First attempt at HDR photography. And no, it wasn’t the little HDR mode on my iphone. I took the shots this past summer in Maui, but just now got photomatix pro to process them. This was a road in Haleakala National Park. It is not quite as sharp as I hoped, but that is what I get for not bringing a tripod and holding the in my hands. The weather was not greatest when we decided to go up the volcano. It was a cold and cloudy. The fog rolled over the slopes and blocked our chances at views we’ve seen in the past. The longer we stayed, the warmer and clearer it got. I had not been up there in at least 8 years if not more. With my camera in hand, I made the most of the situation.
A few weeks ago, I picked up a 2007 Honda Civic Si Sedan. This is my first car to really call my own. Its pretty zippy since its a smaller car, but my gas mileage hasn’t been that great. Hopefully it improves with less spirited driving. Right now its pretty stock, with just a few aesthetic modifications. The windows were tinted as an early birthday present from my dad. If you need your windows tinted and live in the peninsula, I recommend Auto Image in Belmont, Ca. I’ll post more pictures later, when I get a chance to do mini shoot.
On Saturday, I went to Hayward to watch a friend compete at Prelude Norcal. The event was held at Chabot college and has been going on for a few years. They have a Socal one too for those not in the bay. Kaba Modern won the event with a very unique routine revolving around movies. This was the current Kaba Modern from UCI and not the small group featured on Americas Best Dance Crew. Most of the teams were from colleges and a few were from studios with mixed ages. Maybe I’ll go sign up for some hip hop classes at a local rec center. I always feel like dancing after watching a dance show or seeing a movie about dancers. Do you feel the same way too?
